Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council
Established in 1963 the Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council consists of 18 individual construction unions, each with well over 100 years of service to our community. Collectively these craft unions represent nearly 10,000 unionized construction workers in the Upstate New York, Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester Region.
Believing that every worker deserves a fair wage and safe working conditions, our mission is to represent and support the local men and women that build our roads, bridges, schools, and office buildings. These are the talented men and women who build and maintain the historic and ever-changing Rochester Skyline.
Our Impact

Rochester Rotary Sunshine Campus
The Rochester Building Trades has a special relationship with the Rochester Rotary Sunshine Campus.
Rochester Rotary Sunshine Campus is a fully accessible residential summer camp that has met the needs of children with paralysis and other physical challenges and their families since 1922.
Each summer, more than 2,500 children and young-adult campers (ages 7 to 21 years old) with disabilities take advantage of this 157-acre campground in Rush, N.Y. It is the only camp facility of its kind in Greater Rochester that gives children with special needs unique overnight camping experiences.
